Stunning Images
If you’re selling plants online pictures will be worth thousands and thousands of words . . . and dollars.
We’ve all seen that website where there’s a nice typed LIST or PDF of what plants they offer, but they’re completely losing out on that visual connection.
Sure it takes more work to photograph and upload pictures of the plants you’re selling, but the effort will pay dividends. You want the potential customer to begin to VISUALIZE that spider plant hanging in their entryway – until they can’t RESIST purchasing it.
Those Details
Whether your customer is a newbie or a seasoned plant veteran, make sure to list hardiness zones, sun and watering requirements, and even details like how well the plant will grow in a container as opposed to the ground.
Having all this at a glance helps the customer say “yes” quicker.
Little Perks Matter
Free shipping? $10 off when they spend $100? Maybe if they spend $150 they get a complimentary tea plant. Your customers will be TICKLED to purchase from you when you go the extra mile for them.
Consider sending a coupon in their confirmation email after they purchase – return customers are gold!
Hot Trends 2021
If snake plants are in, or those fiddle leaf figs are taking over the internet again – have some in stock. You can sell them as well – only you can do it better. If buying succulents is the thing, make buying them from YOU even trendier.
You can use social media – Instagram, Facebook etc to help you do this. But if you haven’t got time to manage those platforms, sending a bright and exciting email to your list will also work..
If you’re excited by what you’re selling, your customers will be too.
